Singapore Puzzle Hunt
If you are new to hunts
The MIT Mystery Hunt is the event this one is modelled after. Its public puzzles are a whole education. The Puzzle Hunt Calendar lists other hunts you can solve for practice between our own.

- Puzzle Hunt Calendar — what else is open, and when.
Tools for words and patterns
These are ordinary reference tools. They will not solve a puzzle for you. They will tell you whether a string can be a word, or which phrase fits a pattern you have already earned.
- Nutrimatic — match a pattern against a word list.
a?efinds words; you still have to know why you asked. - Qat — another pattern matcher, useful when Nutrimatic is being stubborn.
- OneLook — search by meaning, wildcard, or “sounds like”.
While you are solving
Keep one shared document for the team. Write the extraction even when it is incomplete. A spreadsheet with a row per puzzle — claimed, stuck, solved — saves the argument about who is holding the crossword.
When the hunt is closed, come back to the epilogue and the archive. Practising on a finished year is the most honest preparation there is.
