Singapore Puzzle Hunt
Bring a team
A team is a few people who are willing to be wrong out loud for a whole weekend.
You do not need a perfect spread of skills. It helps to have someone who likes words, someone who likes structure, and someone who will say “wait, look at the title again.” One shared document and a way to talk to each other will carry you further than a stack of software.
Registration
Sign-ups open with each hunt, and the note goes to the mailing list first. Pick a team name you will still find funny on Sunday evening. One person should be the contact, so errata and scheduling reach you in one place.
During the hunt
- Split puzzles, but keep a list of what is claimed and what is finished.
- Write down partial ideas. The answer is often already in the margin.
- Eat. A stuck team is frequently a hungry team.
- If someone needs to step out, the puzzles will still be there.
